* Petite - If a person has a petite or shorter frame, look for a straight or skinny leg style to help elongate the body. And for a super modern look, try the skinny look with a cropped leg.
* Hourglass - The bootcut is the most universally flattering fit. For an extra slimming boost, look for styles that have a higher knee, which will enhance a leg-lengthening effect.
* Pear shaped/ full-figured - If a person is pear-shaped or full-figured, darker finishes are always flattering and can add a dramatic vibe. When looking for finishing variations, choose a subtle hand-sand on the fabric to encourage a slimming effect. Also, select denim that is soft to the touch and that has plenty of stretch - this way you'll stay comfortable and stylish.
Men:
* On trend - For the fashionable guy on your list, the slim straight and skinny leg jeans are the latest trend. Combining this modern style in darker finishes makes this the ultimate look long into the new year.
