Here No. 54 Morgan Davis, No. 62 Robert Lawrence and No. 16 Case Tucker team up to stop the Wildcats. The Tiger victory prevented the Wildcats from winning the Big 8 West title and improved Lamar's overall record to 7-2.

The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower.
