VILARA VIANA BELL

ALMA CENTER, Wisc.- A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Hixton United Methodist Church for Vilara Viana Bell, 90, Alma Center, formerly of Lockwood, Mo., who died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at her home. Rev. Meg Erickson will officiate. Burial will be held in the Lockwood, Mo. cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m., at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chippewa Valley Cremation.

Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Weinstein and husband Sonny, Golden City, Mo., Janice Durman, Alma Center, Linda Bell, Golden City, Mo. and Lorie Bell and husband Dan, Strafford, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, Darren Durman and wife Trish, Danyal Durman and husband Joel, Lesa Arndt and husband Jon, Cathy Evans and husband Rodney, Aimee Brunner, Michael Brunner, Angela Shepard and husband Charles, Justin Stepp, Jason Harrison, Abbey Warren, Andrew Warren and Hannah Hodge; 20 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Catherine Eastwood and her husband Bud.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Velma, Lenice and Cora and three brothers, Clair “Bud”, Earl and Burton.

Mrs. Bell was born June 23, 1929, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Jacob Clair and Vilara Viana (Fox) Galloway. She moved to Lockwood, Mo. as a child and was a 1947 graduate of Lockwood High School.

She married Lyndal Elton Bell on Nov. 26, 1947. He died in 1998.
