CARTHAGE- Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fasken Cemetery, northeast of Carthage, for Lucille Ellen (Stukey) Abbiatti, 83, who died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, at Cox Barton County Hospital in Lamar.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.

Contributions may be made to Fasken Cemetery, Milford Christian Church or Lamar Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Steve Abbiatti and wife Julie, Carthage; one daughter, Linda Marti and husband Kurt, Lamar; one sister-in-law, Bobbette (Dryer) Stukey; eight grandchildren, Sarah Abbiatti, Martha Abbiatti and Joe Abbiatti, all of Carthage, Candace Mace and husband James, Fulton, Jessica Marti, St. Louis, Kyle Marti and wife Jenny, Lamar, Isaac Marti and wife Afton, Lamar and Brandon Marti and wife Molly, Lamar; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Stan Marti in 1994; two brothers, Robert Stukey and Paul Stukey and one sister-in-law, Clara Stukey.

Mrs. Abbiatti was born Dec. 2, 1935, in Jasper County, to Samuel Clifford and Edith (Lux) Stukey. She was a 1953 graduate of Carthage High School. She was a lifetime resident of Carthage and Lamar, who owned Carthage L.P. Gas and enjoyed cattle farming. She was a member of Milford Christian Church in Lamar. She loved her animals and searching her family genealogy, but most importantly she loved her family and grandchildren.

She married Harry Lee Abbiatti on June 12, 1954, in Carthage. He died Nov. 17, 1999.
