Lamar Democrat/Chris Morrow The Eagles of Golden City and the Eagles of Jasper, two longtime rivals, have squared off twice in this young season with Golden City pulling out a couple of close wins, including last week in the Everton Tournament. Here freshman Kyndall Scott puts up a shot in traffic. Golden City advanced to the tournament championship where they lost to Billings 70-68 in overtime. Scott had 28 points in the loss.

Lamar Tigers dominate Jasper
The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State.
