DR. RICHARD BEHREND

CARTHAGE- A celebration of life was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2019, at Grace Pointe Assembly of God for Dr. Richard Behrend, 66, Carthage, who died Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at his home in Carthage.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Grace Pointe Assembly of God, in care of Ulmer Funeral Home or online directly to the church at www.gracepointeag.org and use fund Dr. Behrend.

Survivors include three sons, M.G. Behrend and wife Jana, St. Robert, Matt Behrend and wife Bonni, Fayetteville, Ark. and John Behrend and wife Kelly, Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, Michael Behrend and wife Sheila, Eastampton, NJ and Jeff Behrend and wife Angela, Zion Crossroads, Va.; one sister, Bonnie Behrend, New York State and five grandchildren, Jolie, Emery, James, Alex and Zain.

Dr. Behrend was born Nov. 22, 1953, in Mount Gilead, Ohio, to Richard and Delores (Blose) Behrend. He resided several years in the Jasper and Lamar area, then moved to Carthage a year ago. He was a chiropractor and a member of the American Chiropractic Association.

He attended the Full Faith Christian Church in Carthage, but currently was a member of Grace Pointe Assembly of God in Carthage.
