LAMAR- A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lamar Family Ministries Center for Darlene Marie Hileman, 79, Lamar, who died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin. Bob Petersen will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Hileman, of the home; two sons, Robert Dean Petersen-Hileman and wife Julie, Lamar and Tod Lee Hileman and wife Jessica, Hays, Kan.; four brothers, Eugene Schoenberger and wife Doris, Natoma, Kan., Daniel Schoenberger and wife Gail, Garden City, Kan., Edward Schoenberger, Greensburg, Kan. and Ronald Schoenberger and wife Cynthia, Enders, Neb.; two sisters, Verlene “Fatty” Mader, Oakley, Kan. and Cindy Everly, Lawrence, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Micah Petersen and wife Madi, Tulsa, Okla., Caleb Petersen and wife Brittany, Lamar, Seth Petersen, Joplin, Lamar, Levi Petersen and wife Daniela, Salt Lake City, Utah, Kursti Hileman, Manhattan, Kan., Feyden Hileman, Hays, Kan. and Jude Hileman, Hays, Kan. and a great-granddaughter, Alia Petersen, Tulsa, Okla.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Rose in 1992; two brothers, Alvin Schoenberger and Richard Schoenberger and three sisters, Dorothy Savacool, Patti Weschler and Delores Schoenberger.

Mrs. Hileman was born April 11, 1940, in Ellis, Kan., to Daniel and Mary Ludwina (Dechent) Schoenberger. She married Randall Lee Hileman on Aug. 8, 1970, in Oakley, Kan. She owned and operated several restaurants and was a homemaker, bowled on the Colby Bowl Women’s League in Colby, Kan. and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was a member of Christian Faith Outreach in Imperial, Neb., and most recently Lamar Family Ministries Center.
