Lamar Democrat/Chris Morrow Lockwood coach Ethan Baker has a word with his team during a timeout in Thursday's Class 1 district semifinal with Liberal. The Bulldogs would win the contest on their home court, ending what was a terrific season for the Tigers. Look for a recap of Lockwood's season, as well as all the girls and boys teams the Democrat covers in an upcoming special issue.

The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower.
