GOLDEN CITY- A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar, for Rudy Titsworth, 89, Golden City, who died Friday afternoon, May 29, 2020. Interment and a graveside service will be held at Pleasant View Methodist Church Cemetery in Beloit, Kan. at 3 p.m. on Friday.

A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service, beginning at 5 p.m.

Memorial donations can be made to the Golden City Fire Department, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; one sister and two children, daughter April Foos and husband Scott, Golden City and son Jim Titsworth and wife Jan, Keller, Texas. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Molly and husband Will Urton, Mitchell Titsworth and Lauren Titsworth; one great grandchild, Khloe Urton and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his one brother, a niece and two nephews.

Mr. Titsworth was born August 4, 1930, on the family farm in Lincoln County, Kan., to Ralph and Mattie Howell Titsworth.

He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Agricultural Education and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He went on to teach high school Ag Education before pursuing a career as a manufacturer’s representative.

He was active in volunteer activities involving railroad history and restoration. He loved all types of airplanes, especially those from World War II. He enjoyed farming, old tractors and talking to people.
