Willis and Billy Strong of Liberal celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, May 27, by having lunch at Norma’s Diner at Joplin.

The monument will recognize veterans that made a significant difference while serving in the armed services. Shiloh Wilkinson, daughter of TJ and Melissa Wilkinson, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Shiloh enjoys drawing and reading in her spare time. She plans on playing volleyball or basketball next year. Her favorite subjects are Social Studies and Reading, because both teachers make it a lot of fun while they teach.
