GOLDEN CITY- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar for Dennis Levi Stump, 60, Golden City, who died Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, at his home. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Lions Club International, in care of Daniel Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Tina; a daughter, Sara Wilson and husband Jonathan of Jerico Springs with their two children, Josephine and Carter; a son, Braden of the home; his mother, Geraldine Stump, Golden City; his brothers, Leon Stump and wife Lori and Roy Stump and wife Shannon, all of Golden City, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Jo; his sister, Gayle Stump and his father, Richard Stump.

Mr. Stump was born February 7, 1960, at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar, to Richard and Geraldine (Divine) Stump. He was a graduate of the Golden City High School Class of 1978. He married Tina Keatts on April 29,1990 and together they had three children; Sarah, Kelly Jo and Braden.

He worked at Golden Business Forms for 25 years. He officiated high school sports, which included volleyball, football, basketball, baseball and softball for many years. He and his wife hosted 13 different foreign exchange students the last 10 years. He enjoyed going to swap meets and casinos. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Kansas City Chiefs. He was also a founding member of the Golden City Lions Club.
