CLAREMORE, Okla.- Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo., for Blanche Lorene Suggs, 92, Claremore, who died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020, at her home. Burial will follow in Paradise Cemetery.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Lana West, Claremore and Marcella Clay and husband Dan, Columbia, Mo.; six grandchildren, Andy Baker, Rhonda Baker, Alicia Flanagan, Audra Lindsley, Desiree Stinchfield and Joshua Groshans; 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; five brothers, Lloyd, Raymond, Howard, Robert and Wesley Lowther and two sisters, Katherine Brous and Bernice.

Mrs. Suggs was born January 29, 1928, in Cabool, Mo., to Aaron and Sarah (Morgan) Lowther. She graduated from Cabool High School in the class of 1946. On August 25, 1946, she married Hugh Buster Suggs in Tulsa.

She was a homemaker and her hobbies included crocheting, sewing and doing plastic canvas crafts. She was a member of the Ladies of VFW, Rebecca's, Amaranth and Eastern Star. She enjoyed Gaither Music and spending time with her grandkids. "She enjoyed life".
