BILLY DEAN WOODS

LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Daniel Funeral Home for Billy “Bill” Dean Woods, 62, Lamar, who died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon.

Survivors include a son, Brent Woods and daughter, Brooke Woods, both of Lamar; two sisters, Glenna Yike and husband Brian and Tina Dearing and husband Gene, all of Liberal and two grandchildren, Josylin Marie Woods and Jonathan Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Drew Michael Woods, on August 12, 2020.

Mr. Woods was born January 26, 1958 in Lamar, to Billy Boy and Audrey Marie (Metcalf) Woods. He graduated from Lamar High School in 1976 and was a graduate of MSU.

He worked as a purchasing agent for O'Sullivan Industries for 20 years. He loved hunting, fishing, golf, baseball and football. He was a member of Metro Club and the Eagles Lodge.
