Positive COVID-19 cases continue

According to the Barton County Health Department, at the close of Thursday, Nov. 12, there had been a total of 453 cases of COVID-19 reported in the county, with 39 of those being active. Those recovered stands at 414. The number of deaths remains at four.

The health department stated that this past week 23 new cases had been reported. The health department is working closely with individuals to identify all close contacts. Those who were identified as close contacts were contacted by health department representatives and advised on how to proceed.

To protect the privacy of individuals and their families, the health department will not release individually identifiable details.
