MINDEMINES-Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg, Kan., for Janice Michelle Heckert, 55, Mindemines, who died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, as the result of an automobile accident. Pastor Jim Sukraw will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the mortuary.

Survivors include her husband, Chuck Heckert; two sons, Dallas Heckert and his fiance, Courtney and Bryce Heckert, all of Pittsburg, Kan.; two daughters, Haleigh Heckert and Myranda Heckert, both of Pittsburg, Kan.; a brother, Mike Morton; a sister, Nancy Berry and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Heckert was born March 25, 1960, at Portsmouth, Va., to Richard Leon and Beatrice Eileen (Chatman) Morton. She graduated from Garnett, Kan. High School. She was the president of Double J Energy and vice-president of Heckert Construction.

She married Chuck Heckert at Pittsburg, Kan., on March 9, 1991.
