Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A line of cars awaited their turn to dispose of e-waste on Saturday morning, Sept. 11, in front of the Mary K. Finley Library in Lamar. The Barton County Library partnered with the Region M Waste Management District to host this free electronics waste collection.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower. Pictured are, left to right, Lamar Bank & Trust President Pat O’Neal, Barco Drive-In Theatre fundraiser director Landin Myers and representing the Plaza/Barco and Lamar Community Betterment, Scott Kelley.
