COVID update

According to Barton County Health Department Administrator Joel Dermott, the COVID case numbers in the county look very good overall, with 12 new cases reported in the last seven days.

He stated that the county’s positivity rate dropped below the state average for the first time since the beginning of summer.

On a down note, the state released two more deaths in the county late last week.

The current COVID total stands at 1461 with six active, 24 deaths and 1431 recovered.

As stated previously, there have been 12 cases this last week.
