Golden Harvest Days recognizes Little Miss/Mr.

Photos by Sharon Wingert Participants in the Golden Harvest Days Little Miss and Mr. Contest were featured at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 19, at the East Park Pavilion. Winners in the Miss/Mr. 2-4 year old category were three year old Taylynn Mitchell and four year old Wesley Roby. Winners in the Miss/Mr. 5-8 year old category were seven year old Paisley Mitchell and eight year old Tarren Mitchell. Other participants included two year old Colt Roby, five year old Willow Renfro, six year old Breylee Greenlee and six year old Jordyn Zentner. Judging was done by those receiving the most at a penny per vote.

Madelyn Smith, daughter of Mike and Beverly Smith, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Madelyn enjoys watching Bluey, sleepovers with her friends and dancing in Mrs. Cole's class. She loves tacos and smelling candles.

Tipton made the three hour drive to play against the Tigers. Each of the Big 8 conference teams have one open date on their schedule to play against a non conference foe. Lamar's open date was during the third week of the season and Tipton also had an open date that week. Lamar will return the favor by making the trip to Tipton next year.
