Lamar Democrat/Richard Cooper
The Lamar Heights Board of Aldermen began its meeting of April 7 with administering the oath of office to newly elected incumbents, Erin Miller, left, and James Soma. Mayor Jerry Marti reported he has nothing new to disclose on the topic of annexing land south of the current city limits, all the way to 20th Road. It remains a topic of interest. Marti said he has had a request for more neighborhood watch signs. The board approved ordering new signs with the cost not to exceed $50. The next meeting of the Lamar Heights Board of Aldermen will be 5:45 p.m., July 7, in the office of Vicki Pugh, CPA.
