Mr. and Mrs. Doug and Jeanette Salzman of Golden City announce the engagement of their daughter, Rhonda Salzman, to Dr. Benjamin Lynch, son of Malia Parkinson of Flippin, Ark. and Mike Lynch of Fayetteville, Ark. Ms. Salzman, a 2004 graduate of Golden City High School and 2008 graduate of Missouri State University, is a sales representative at ACS Playground Adventures in Fayetteville, Ark. She is the granddaughter of Rusty and Ona Mullinax and James Thomas, Golden City and Jerry and the late Marlene Salzman. Dr. Lynch is a 2003 graduate of Rogers, Ark. High School, a 2007 graduate of the University of Arkansas and a 2014 graduate of Northeastern State University-Oklahoma College of Optometry. Dr. Lynch owns and operates Boston Mountain Eye Care in Fayetteville, Ark. A May 21 wedding is planned in Fayetteville, Ark.

The monument will recognize veterans that made a significant difference while serving in the armed services. Shiloh Wilkinson, daughter of TJ and Melissa Wilkinson, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Shiloh enjoys drawing and reading in her spare time. She plans on playing volleyball or basketball next year. Her favorite subjects are Social Studies and Reading, because both teachers make it a lot of fun while they teach.
