RURAL LAMAR-Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lamar Family Ministries Center for Bobbi Gaye Jones, 55, rural Lamar, who died Saturday, May 7, 2016, at her home. Pastor Bob Petersen will officiate. Burial will be in Newton Burial Park in Nevada, Mo.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Lamar Family Ministries Center.

Survivors include her husband, Dusty; two sons, Brandon Jones and wife Lindsey, Fort Collins, Colo. and Anthony Jones and wife Amber, Lamar; her mother, Genevieve Williams, Nevada, Mo.; three brothers, Kevin Williams, Stacy Williams and Brett Williams and wife Alice, all of Nevada, Mo.; a sister, Karla Ervin and husband Reuben, El Dorado Springs and the four grandchildren she adored, Emma and Jillian Jones, Fort Collins, Colo. and Adelynn and Ayden Jones, Lamar.

She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Williams and her father-in-law, Ronnie Jones.

Mrs. Jones was born May 23, 1960, at Elkhart, Kan., the fourth of five children of Virgil and Genevieve (Davis) Williams. She moved with her family to Missouri in 1962, attended Walker Grade School and was a 1978 graduate of Nevada High School.

She married Dusty Jones on June 11, 1978 and they made their home and reared their two sons in Barton County. She was a devoted mom who used her athleticism to play softball and keep up with her boys' sports activities. She was a talented artist and took great pleasure in crocheting blankets for family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors and grew beautiful flower gardens.
