LAMAR-Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harvey Cemetery for Lynna Lavern Pennington, 76, Lamar, who died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at Truman Healthcare in Lamar.

Arrangements are under the direction of Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper.

Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Pennington; three sons, Joseph L. Pennington and wife Lynn, James Pennington and wife Carol and Scott Pennington and wife Sherry; three daughters, Pat Pennington, Kristy Roehrs and husband Scott and Cindy Crockett and husband Dustin; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, two grandsons, one granddaughter and a great-grandson.

Mrs. Pennington was born March 11, 1940, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to LaVern and Opal (Parker) Bishop. She was employed as a production worker for Carthage Poultry Co. and O'Sullivan Industries. She also drove a bus for the Jasper schools for a number of years. She was a member of the Blake Baptist Church.

She married Joseph W. Pennington on March 27, 1956, in Carthage.
