Hall wins first in junior looper dummy roping

Easton Hall, Lamar, five year old son of Krisalyn and Nathan Enyart and Seth Hall, recently won first place in the junior looper dummy roping at the Four States Championship Team Roping at Lucky J Arena in Carthage. Hall is the grandson of Kevin Butler, Lamar, and the late Rhonda Butler, Don and Kelly Enyart, Seneca and Russ and Samantha Hall, Aurora.

During the festivities, Elaine Davis, left, president of Lamar Community Betterment, was awarded $1M from a private charitable fund, in order to purchase the old Redneck building at 1705 Gulf. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The First Baptist Church stepped outside of its walls on Sunday morning, as members of the congregation, along with others from the community, gathered at the Wyatt Earp Park in order to worship the Lord. Music sheets were handed out to those attending, with the church’s worship leader Steve Livingston and the Praise Band from the church leading in the music. Dr. Robert Hodson, senior pastor at the church, shared the sermon. According to Ron Sandberg and Ed Patterson, a total of 198 were in attendance on this beautiful day.
