LAMAR-Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Daniel Funeral Home for Linda Carol Pennell, 64, Lamar, who died at her home on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016. Lonnie Pennell will officiate. Burial will be in Round Prairie Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested to Round Prairie Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Harry Pennell; two stepsons, Jason Pennell and wife Marie and Ottie Pennell, both of Lamar; three brothers, Gary Moenning and wife Peggie, Bayard, Neb., Charles Moenning and wife Sherry, Gering, Neb. and Melvin Moenning and wife Thelma, Philippines; a stepbrother, Carl Pennell and wife Renee, Lamar; two sisters, Barbara Lawrence and husband Eric, Bolivar and Tootie Brown and husband Al, Taylorsville, Utah; one stepsister, Linda Strong and husband John; two grandchildren, Alex Pennell and Sadie Pennell and a loving group of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Pennell was born Oct. 2, 1951, in Denver, Colo., to Elmer and Martha (Leeper) Moenning. After high school she married Arthur Henderson. After his death she married Dale Fletcher, who also died. On August 21, 2014, she married the love of her life, Harry Pennell. She loved to tend to her flowers and her garden. She also loved her dog Wilber, who is credited with saving her life a few years ago, after she had a brain aneurism, by alerting family members. She was a member of Newport Baptist Church.
