PITTSBURG, Kan.-Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Apostolic Christian Faith in Pittsburg, for Raymond Joseph Braker, 93, Pittsburg, who died Tuesday morning, Oct. 11, 2016, at his home. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 9:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, southwest of Lamar.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo.

Survivors include his children, Janice Stoller and husband Bob, Liberal, Mo., Elaine Koblock and husband Terry, Larchwood, Iowa, Roy Braker and wife Judy, Jasper, Mo., Jerry Braker and wife Carol, Liberal, Mo. and Martha Kellenberger and husband Curt, Lamar, Mo.; a sister, Alice Marti and husband Charles, Liberal, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Braker, Lamar, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Merle Marti, Sabetha; 27 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Paul and Dan Braker; six brothers, Albert, Fred, Lester, Ben, Oscar and Leonard Braker and three sisters, Edna Somerhalder, Bernice Frieden and Pearl Braker.

Mr. Braker was born Feb. 16, 1923, in Barton County, Mo., to Sam and Sarah (Banwart) Braker. After serving his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, he returned home to resume farming and raising cattle. He was a member of Apostolic Christian Faith in Pittsburg. Devoted to his family, he took great pleasure in time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, leaving them with many fond memories.

He married LuEtta Marti on June 1, 1952, near Bern, and they made their home and farmed their land in Barton and Jasper counties for more than 60 years.
