JOPLIN-Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar for Angela Dawn (Voorhees) Wosel, 45, Joplin, who died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016.

Survivors include her parents, Ivan Voorhees, Lamar and Gladys Pyle, Carterville; her husband Stephen and daughter Maggie Wosel, Webb City and two brothers, Kevin Voorhees, Emporia, Kan. and Steve Voorhees, Portland, Ore.

Mrs. Wosel was born Jan. 16, 1971, in Joplin. She was employed in customer service at EGS World Expert Global Solutions in Joplin, where she enjoyed talking and helping people from all over the country.

She enjoyed her kittens and playing Frisbee with her dog, Mona Lisa.

She married Stephen Wosel in 1991.

The material for the screen will be installed late next week and hopefully, after some tweaking, the Barco will open May 3.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger At the April 15 meeting of the Lamar City Council, Lamar resident Rocky McCulloch invited councilmen and the city administrator to take a tour of the pool facilities on Thursday, April 18, as Mason Banes with KC Gunite was going to do a walk through to see what repairs might entail. Several showed up to view the pools, as well as to hear possible solutions. Banes explained that he had to first find out if the damage was structural or plumbing related. Elaine McCulloch noted that hopes are to retain the outdoor lap pool and to redo the indoor pool so that it could serve as a children’s pool following the removal of the enclosure. Banes is to let the McCullochs, as well as the city, know what he would recommend and the cost it would entail.
