Beem signs with Emporia State University

Lamar Democrat/Mikayla Burchett Senior Cassidy Beem of Lamar High School, daughter of Jennifer and Darin Beem, signed to play softball at Emporia State University on Wednesday, Nov. 9. Beem is a 1st team all conference, all district and all regional player. Cassidy played varsity third baseman and catcher for the Lamar Lady Tigers softball team all four years of her high school career. She was recruited to play those positions for the Emporia State Lady Hornets softball team.

Gunner Miller, son of Sharron Miller, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. Gunner plays baseball and likes playing video games in his spare time. His favorite subject is Math.
