RONALD BYERLY, SR.

SPRINGFIELD-Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Seminole Baptist Temple for Ronald E. Byerly Sr., 78, Springfield, who died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, while playing the best golf game of his life. Burial will be held between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar, Mo.

Arrangements were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home South.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seminole Baptist Temple Missions fund.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Byerly, of the home; a son, Ronald E. Byerly Jr. and wife Bobbi, Ash Grove; two daughters, Lisa Archer and Amy Albright and husband Bryan, Republic; several grandchildren; a sister, Donita McCullogh and husband Brad, Lamar and tons of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Byerly; a sister, Shirley Rush and two daughters, Kim Loyd and Lorrie Eberts.

Mr. Byerly was born May 10, 1938, in Cheyenne County, Kan., to Fred H. and Loda D. Byerly. He worked for Defense Mapping Agency for 39 years in Kansas City and St. Louis. His favorite job as a retiree was at Price Cutter, where he would say, “I'm just a bagger”.

He loved the Lord and loved to share his faith with everyone he met. He was a faithful member of Seminole Baptist Temple.
