LAMAR-Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Golden City First Christian Church for Brenda Sue Miller, 36, Lamar, who died Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at Good Shepherd Nursing Center, Lockwood, after a battle with cancer.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Lee Miller, one son, Dakota Miller and one daughter, Megan Miller, all of the home; her father, Wendell Carter, Lamar; one brother, Brian Carter, Lamar; one sister, Christi Little and husband David, Nevada, Mo. and her grandfather, Bill Heathman and wife Mary.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Anne Carter; her paternal grandparents, Clarence and Janell Carter and her maternal grandmother, Mary Heathman.

Mrs. Miller was born Aug. 7, 1980, in Lamar, to Wendell E. and Julie Anne (Heathman) Carter. She graduated Golden City High School in 1998 and attended college. She worked as a clerk at the Golden City Utility office and had worked at Lamar Head Start and J & W Trailers. She attended Golden City First Christian Church.

She married Lee Miller on Feb. 1, 1999, at Taberville.
