JUANITA BRUNS

FT. SCOTT, Kan.-A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Newton Burial Park for Juanita June Bruns, 87, who died Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at the Country Place Care Center in Ft. Scott. Pastor David Rorabaugh will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar, Mo.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Bruns, Nevada, Mo. and a grandson, Kevin Chilcote, Nashville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Willers; a sister, Beverly Manfredi and two daughters, Tina Bruns and Donna Chilcote.

Mrs. Bruns was born June 19, 1929, in Moundville, Mo., to Frederick and Madge Willers. She was a homemaker and mother of three. She was a member of the First Christian Church and enjoyed her Bridge club.

She married Howard Alfred Bruns on April 5, 1946, in Ft. Scott. He died Feb. 5, 2005.
