ADAM BARNES

LAMAR- On September 29, 2016, Katie Rutledge and Russell Barnes, along with big brother Ethan Blake Rutledge, welcomed Adam Roy Barnes into this world. Adam had a smile that lit up a room and his giggle warmed your heart. Adam loved the sound of his mama's voice as she sang “Adam's Song” and he shared a special bond in the arms of his daddy, listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival. His life was a brief gift that will live on, as his heart valves were donated and received by two babies in need.

On March 7, 2017, Adam was welcomed to his homecoming celebration in heaven by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Cheryl Barnes; his maternal great-grandparents, Wally and Doris Alden; his maternal great-grandfather, William Whitehead and an uncle, Brian Barnes.

Adam was loved and will be missed by his maternal grandparents, Todd and Lea Ellen Whitehead and Kay-Lynn Alden; his paternal grandparents, Jack and Barbara Winningham; his maternal great-grandmother, Beverly Whitehead; his aunts, Chelsea O'Shea and husband David, Emma Whitehead, Jennifer Renner and husband Carl and Amber Barnes and Andrew Smith; his uncles, Dylan Whitehead and Aaron Barnes and wife Amyrose and numerous extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Daniel Funeral Home. A committal service and balloon release will follow at Lake Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been set up at Lamar Bank & Trust in the name of “Adam Barnes Memorial Fund”. Contributions can be made at the bank or at Daniel Funeral Home. (Please make checks out to the fund).
