PITTSBURG, Kan.- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Osage Church of the Brethren for Wilbur G. Brubaker, 81, Pittsburg, a former Golden City, Mo. resident, who died at 9:04 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Medicalodge South of Pittsburg. Pastor Harold Groth will officiate. Burial will follow in Osage Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church, prior to the service, beginning at 9 a.m.

Arrangements were under the direction of Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg.

Memorial may be made to the Osage Church of the Brethren Missions Fund and can be left at or mailed to Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, Kan. 66762.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Edna, of the home; his mother, Etta Brubaker, seven children, Joycetta Wanner and husband Bruce, Gap, PA, J. Larry Brubaker and wife Becky, Bella Vista, Ark.; Evelyn Woodrum and husband Gary, Pittsburg, Cheryl Pickenpaugh and husband John Bill, Gilmer, Texas, David Brubaker and wife Tina, Golden City, Mo., Nancy Simhiser and husband Ray, Stockton, Mo. and Karen Morgan and husband Joe, Lamar, Mo.; five brothers, Allen, Glenn, Charles, Roy and Mark Brubaker; five sisters, Helen Haldeman, Mildred Feliz, Nancy Fahnestock, Janet Rios and Lois Hurst; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and two grandchildren.

Mr. Brubaker was born June 6, 1935, at Elizabethtown, PA, to Charles E. and Etta (Geib) Brubaker. He graduated Hershey High School.

Mr. Brubaker was a farmer. Before that he had done alternative 1-W service in Ann Arbor, Mich. He held membership in the Osage Church of the Brethren, McCune.

He married Edna S. Tyson on June 8, 1957.
