Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger
Five members of the Barton County Teen Leaders presented the program at Lamar Rotary on Tuesday, May 9. They told of their experience this past January as they were able to attend the presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C., as well as the inauguration of Missouri Governor Eric Greitens in Jefferson City. A slide show detailing the youth's trip to the Washington, D.C. area was enjoyed by all, as they told of their adventures. The contingency of Barton County Teen Leaders was the only 4-H group from Missouri that attended the presidential inauguration and thanks to Senator Roy Blunt, they were treated like royalty. Pictured are, left to right, Kelsie Morgan, Michaela Winslow, Clayton Winslow, Kyler Cox and Matthew Morgan. The program ended with the Teen Leaders expressing their appreciation to the community that was so instrumental in helping them make the trip.
