LIBERAL- A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at the Liberal City Community Park building, for Arthur “Art” Campbell Farmer, Jr., 81, Liberal, who died Monday, July 24, 2017.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Survivors include his first wife of 28 years, Alice Faye Farmer, mother of his two daughters, Aleta Diane Beaty, wife of Dr. David Beaty and Mary Jane Farmer, a 20 year Navy veteran; two step-daughters, Teresa Taylor and husband Don and Joyce Engle and husband Joe; a brother, Mark Farmer and wife Kathy; nine grandchildren, Dionne Reese, Drew Beaty, Beth Bazel, Tony Spurling, Rachel Spurling, Amy Spurling, Joseph Engle, Lindsey Tidball and Jake Engle and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Farmer and Chris Farmer, his wife of 14 years.

Mr. Farmer was born June 28, 1936, to Arthur and Pauline Edwinna (Claunch) Farmer. He loved working, staying employed well into his 70’s. He worked as a delivery driver for Coca Cola, was a long haul trucker and then retired as a security guard. He also loved golf and spending time with his family.
