LAMAR- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home for Mario Alejandro Delapena, 32, Lamar, who died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at his home. Burial will follow in Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9 a.m.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 11 years, Corina; his children Mario L. Delapena, Joseph P. Delapena, Daniel Contreres, Johnathan Contreres and Angel Contreres, all of Lamar; his parents, Mario and Ana Delapena, Reeds; his grandmother, Adela Ochoa, Carthage and grandfather, Oscar Leonel De La Pena, Guatemala; one brother, Jose Delapena, Arizona; sisters, Brenda Vega, California, Wendy Chavez, Carthage, Karla Rosales, Neosho and Rina Delapena, Carthage.

Mr. Delapena was born May 25, 1985, in Orange, Calif., to Mario L. and Ana Marie (Silvidanio) Delapena. He graduated high school in Anaheim, Calif and on Aug. 25, 2007, he married Corina Angelica Contreres. He was employed at Redneck Blinds and enjoyed working on the motor bike that he built. He loved his children and family very much. He had many friends in Lamar and was considered, “The Life of the Party”., all of Lamar; his parents, Mario and Ana Delapena, Reeds; his grandmother, Adela Ochoa, Carthage and grandfather, Oscar Leonel De La Pena, Guatemala; one brother, Jose Delapena, Arizona; sisters, Brenda Vega, California, Wendy Chavez, Carthage, Karla Rosales, Neosho and Rina Delapena, Carthage.
