Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Many members of the community, as well as families and their children, joined the Barton County Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting to signify the grand opening of the Early Head Start center at 405 Walnut in Lamar. The ribbon cutting was held at 12 noon on Tuesday, Oct 10.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower.
