The Lamar Lady Tigers Cross Country team placed 12th out of 96 teams in the MSHSAA Class 2A 2017 State XC Championship meet, held November 4, at the Oak Hills Golf Center in Jefferson City. Winning districts the week before, they made history by being the first LHS girls cross country team to bring home the District Championship title. Representing the lady Tigers were, left to right, Mary Lee, Jessica Coble, Alexis Parker, Kara Morey, Jordan Lee, Hanna Lee and Abby Kluhsman. “I was very pleased with the success of the girls team this year,” Coach Rodney Baldridge stated. “We were young with only juniors and freshmen. With the experience they received running at the state meet this year, Coach Susan Ray and I are looking forward to great things from this team next year.”
