Memorial Hall display cases add to its charm

Youth of Barton County 4-H and Lamar FFA presented the city of Lamar grant funds secured for the VFW cabinet project completed in Memorial Hall. The funds totaled $2,250 and came from the Missouri Department of Agriculture “Building Our American Community” grant, City Clovers 4-H Club, Learn A Do 4-H Club, Lamar FFA, Barton County Community Foundation, and Teen Leaders. Also, Lamar Teen Leaders presented the city of Lamar with the Missouri Community Betterment first place award, which Lamar received at the Community Betterment conference in October. Youth who attended the presentation at the November 20 city council meeting, left to right, front row, are: Trey Shaw, Kyler Cox (holding plaque), and Ryan Davis.
