EL DORADO SPRINGS- Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Church of God Holiness for Jordan Nichole Cantrell, 28, Lamar, who died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, in El Dorado Springs. Pastors Joe Trussell and Brent Bland officiated. Burial was in El Dorado Springs Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Sheldon Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jordan Nichole Cantrell Elementary Education Scholarship Fund, in care of the funeral home. Scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors from Lamar and El Dorado Springs, majoring in Elementary Education.

Survivors include her parents, Charles and Tina (Hamilton) Cantrell; her brother, Tyler Cantrell and fiance Bre McCracken; maternal grandparents, Sam Hamilton and Diana Hamilton; Paternal grandparents, Steve and Glenda Thomas; aunts and uncles, Tonya and Mitch Bush and Tasha and Gabe Wilson; cousins, Bailey and Cody Janes, Erin and Blake Rhone, Rachel Bush, Tailor Hutsell, Kaden Hutsell and Kylie Hutsell and a nephew, Mitchum Janes and a niece, Cara Janes.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dwayne Cantrell.
Ms. Cantrell was born July 14, 1989, in El Dorado Springs, to Charles and Tina Cantrell. She attended preschool and kindergarten at El Dorado Springs Christian School and then attended El Dorado Springs Public School from first grade until high school graduation. Upon graduation she attended Missouri Southern State University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She spent the next 5 ½ years teaching and impacting the lives of first graders whom she lovingly called her “firsties” at Lamar East Primary School. She was a warrior for Jesus and her goal was to live her life in such a way that everyone would see Jesus in her and come to know Him.
