LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Cornerstone Baptist Church for Sharon Marie Middleton, Lamar, who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at her home, following an eight year battle with cancer. Brother Jack Slade will officiate. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 2:30 p.m., with a reception to follow the memorial service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Elmer, Joplin, Matthew, Lamar and Harry, Springfield; a daughter, Candace Dill, Lamar; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert, Farmington, Billy, Ste. Genevieve and Marvin, Momence, Ill.; six sisters, Evelyn, Farmington, Brenda, Ste. Genevieve, Charlene, Poplar Bluff, Vickie, Ste. Genevieve, Susan, Burlington, Conn. and Linda, Liberty and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Middleton, Sr.; a son, James A. Middleton, Jr.; a daughter, Peggy L Middleton and a brother, Kevin Dwayne Stamm.

Mrs. Middleton was born to Harry Austin and Jewell Mae (Williams) Stamm. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother. She loved her family and was committed to providing a warm and caring home. She had lived and traveled to many different states, but decided to make Lamar her home.

She will be remembered for how much she loved life, enjoyed her family, live music, loved to dance, joke around and just have fun. In keeping with her wishes, she was cremated.
