Lamar Middle School band students auditioned for the Southwest Missouri All-District bands on January 5. Approximately 500 students from across southwest Missouri auditioned for the honor of performing with these bands. Students who made the bands rehearsed all day January 13 and performed in a concert that evening at Barton Performing Arts Center at Webb City High School. Lamar students who successfully made the bands were back row, Jacob Morrison, eighth grade, first chair bari sax; Emma A Born, seventh grade, first chair bari sax; Adi Daniels, seventh grade, first chair bass clarinet and Joe Mills, eighth grade, second chair bass clarinet and front row, Noah Ecker, seventh grade, fifth chair euphonium.
