JASPER- Services are pending at Daniel Funeral Home for Vicky Arlene Myers, 68, Jasper, who died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, as a result of an automobile accident north of Carthage. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Jasper.

Contributions are suggested to Barton County Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one daughter, Melanie Jones and husband Ryan, Barling, Ark.; her boyfriend, Eddie Basting, Carterville; two sisters, Barbara Foster and husband Sam and Debbie Willhite and husband Charles, all of Lamar; her grandchildren, Nathan Jones, Pittsburg, Kan., Kadi Jones and Kevin White, Lamar and Wyatt Jones and Sara Jones, Barling, Ark; great-grandchildren, Sophia White and Weston Jones and her mother, Genevieve Waltz.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Waltz; a brother, Gary Waltz; a niece, Buffy Russell and a nephew, Jeremy Duncan.

Mrs. Myers was born Sept. 4, 1949, in Jasper County, to George Harrison and Genevieve Irene (Pennington) Waltz. She was a 1967 graduate of Jasper High School. She enjoyed puzzles, coloring, baking, collecting angels and riding around in her golf cart through the thicket, but her pride and joy of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her dog Jill.
