EUGENE GOLDEN III

RURAL NEVADA- Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada for Eugene “Gene” Joseph Golden III, 68, rural Nevada, who died Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. Rev. Hubert Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, east of Nevada, near Dederick.

Visitation will be held at 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested in his memory to the First Baptist Church, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Golden; a son and daughters, James W. Golden, Amber Golden and Christi Good and husband Eric; his brother, Christopher Golden, Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren, Emrys and Amarah; several nieces and nephews and one cousin.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Mr. Golden was born May 28, 1949, to Eugene J. Golden, Jr. and Glorianne (McGinn) Golden in Chicago, Ill. He married Brenda L. Brown on June 10, 1972, in Carbondale, Ill.
