Lamar Lady fourth grade Tigers finish strong

The Lamar Lady fourth grade Tigers finished their season strong by bringing home a first place finish at the Black and Gold Tournament held in Diamond on March 3. They captured the gold by defeating Diamond 22-18 in the first game and College Heights 29-15 in the second game. In the final game, they defeated Greenfield 23-14. The girls’ season consisted of five tournaments, playing in Nevada, El Dorado Springs, Carthage and Diamond. Coach Kent Morey stated, “The girls showed great improvement this year and we had a really fun season. I’m looking forward to these players being a successful part of our Lady Tiger basketball programs in the future.” Pictured, front row left to right are Kinsley Potter, Ryley Moore, Rowan Parks and Laryn Ferris. The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State.
