Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The Lamar Elks Lodge No. 2800 recently donated $1,000 to the Famous Missouri Veterans Monument, to be erected at the Barton County Memorial Park, located on the corner of 2nd and Gulf, in Lamar. The monument will recognize veterans that made a significant difference while serving in the armed services. The material for the screen will be installed late next week and hopefully, after some tweaking, the Barco will open May 3.
