LAMAR- Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home for Edna Pearl Clark, 83, Lamar, who died at her home on Sunday, July 1, 2018, following a short illness. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Contributions are suggested to Oakton United Methodist Church Building Fund, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Lucas, Lamar; a grandson, Scott Lucas and wife Kristian, Jasper; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Wyatt and Parker “Bailey Jordan” a niece, Tammy Krewson and special friends, Austin and Jamie Carsel.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Smith and a grandson, Jason Lucas.

Mrs. Clark was born Feb. 14, 1935, in Sheldon, to Travis and Necie (Ambler) Wells.

She and her husband owned and operated Sam’s Place Pool Hall, Club 71, Pearl’s Place, Trackside Cafe and Treasure Corner in Lamar. They also raised and sold many different breeds of dogs to pet lovers all over the United States. Her most recent job was volunteering as a cashier at The Good Samaritan Shop.

She married Herbert Leroy Clark ion July 5, 1952, in Huntsville, Ark. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2014.
