HAZEL RATLIFF

LAMAR- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rolla for Hazel Elizabeth Ratliff, 80, Lamar, who died Thursday, July 12, 2018. Burial will be at Davis Cemetery in Rolla.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar and Null and Sons, Rolla.

Survivors include three sons, Leroy “Roy” Ratliff Jr. and wife Iris, Lamar, Jack Ratliff and wife Pam, Independence and Roger Ratliff and wife Cindy, Rolla; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, as well as church friends who were family and Truman Healthcare staff who became family.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Orel Roberts and wife Barbara, Kenneth Roberts and wife Donna and Norma Cochran and husband Alfred; a son, Roger Allen Ratliff and a grandson, Dustyn Ratliff.

Mrs. Ratliff was born Nov. 1, 1937, in Edgar Springs, to David Everett and Blanch (Spruell) Roberts. Her mother died when she was four years old and she was reared by her grandparents, Robert Oren and Rachel Elizabeth (Yowell) Spruell.

She was a member of Gospel Tabernacle of Belton and was retired from Atlas Van in Rolla, where she had served as a packer with her lifelong friend, Betty Dablemont. She also worked at the Shoe Factory and Rawlings Sports Manufacturing, both in Rolla.

Her hobbies included church singings, fishing, garage sales, playing Wahoo and Dominos with family and friends and she loved to travel. She did genealogy research on the computer and later through her iPhone kept in touch with everyone she loved, through email and lastly with facebook. She loved going to church, going out to eat or just going out to get an ice cream cone.

She married Leroy Ratliff Sr. on March 3, 1952, in Imboden, Ark. He preceded her in death.
