The TigerSharks had six team members earn a High Point Trophy during the Lamar Invitational. Pictured, left to right, are Ben Gould (13-14 Boys winner), Cameron Bailey (11-12 Boys first runner-up), Reece Gould (9-10 Girls first runner-up), Noah Gould (11-12 Boys winner), Mycah Beth Reed (15-18 Girls winner) and Kaitlyn Davis (15-18 Girls first runner-up, tie).

The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower. Pictured are, left to right, Lamar Bank & Trust President Pat O’Neal, Barco Drive-In Theatre fundraiser director Landin Myers and representing the Plaza/Barco and Lamar Community Betterment, Scott Kelley.
