MRTA grant awarded

Four members of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association (MRTA) were at the Lamar Career & Technical Center, Friday, Aug. 17, to share in the award of a $500 grant from the association's Foundation to Kari Worsley, graphic design instructor at the center. The grant will be used to develop a drinking mug press. Pictured, left to right, Walt Cochran of Nevada, former MRTA and Foundation president; Vicki Orr of Monett, MRTA Region 9 vice-president; Judy Hudson of Monett, treasurer of Monett MRTA unit; Worsley; Mary Kuhn, president of Barton County MRTA unit and Dr. Zach Harris, Lamar R-I superintendent. The grant was one of 98 awarded to teachers across the state by the Foundation in 2018.
