TigerSharks conclude swim season

The Lamar TigerSharks made a strong showing in their final event of the 2018 summer season at Tri-State Conference “A” Swim Championships. The 16-member team had 14 swimmers earn Best Times and 12 athletes reach the medals podium in an individual or relay event. The SW Select basketball team ended their season by winning the Kansas State Championship with a record of 21-1 in three tournaments, plus Kansas State. Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower.
